Following Dristi Nepal’s work with FDUs in the Kathmandu Valley, it became evident that there were very few services for women in other areas of Nepal. As a result of this, Dristi Nepal formed a steering group in Dharan – (the Eastern Terai) and then, established a regional Dristi Nepal branch there in 2008, with the aim of identifying our peer group and women in need, whilst enabling them to access services.
We would like to sincerely thank: Ms. Lee Fitzgerald - (USA), Katherina Hohension - (Austria), Magdalena Hoerfarter - (Austria) and all the communities from Dharan, plus UNODC who have supported us in making the Dharan Project a success.
